The Sound was faster than the image
Lilla Sportspegeln is a popular Swedish TV programme for young sports fans. Every week two teams compete, with two representatives in the TV studio and their team-mates answering questions by telephone.
Umeå IK's girls, born in 1999, were well prepared. They had got a Konftel 300IP to be certain of being able to hear the questions clearly. For each question a video clip was shown so the sound from the TV was switched off to avoid acoustic feedback.
So how did it go? Well, the Konftel sound was just perfect but the digital TV transmission was delayed. They could hear the questions but couldn't see the images until a few seconds later. So in spite of their careful preparations, they were beaten by the other team. But it was exciting anyway!
